Hello!! No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I have had a few things happen since just before Christmas, we were all ill (including the cat) and then after returning back to work after the Christmas holidays I was told that I was facing redundancy......Happy New Year, Denise!! So blogging has been taking a bit of a backburner for now but its looking like next week will be my last week, so until I get a new job I will be blogging a bit more. I am even debating whether to start vlogging a few things too but unsure what about (if you have any ideas on what you would like to see then please let me know).
Anyway after that long winded introduction, I have decided to start a week in review post which will happen (obviously) every week . The week will run from the Monday to Sunday. There were a few things happening this week including Pancake Day and Chinese New Year.
On Tuesday I met my friend for lunch and we went to Wagamamas (yum), I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic of our food but I had the Chilli Squid and Prawn Pad Thai and my friend had chicken gyoza and chicken raisukaree. After leaving Wagamamas we decided to hit the shops as Donna was needing a pair of shoes, while we were in New Look I saw a gorgeous pair of tan boots and after discovering that they were only £12 in the sale I just had to buy them. After stuffing myself at lunchtime I was so full that I didn't need dinner that night and so pancake making was to be postponed for another day.

Thursday was Chinese New Year and seeing as I love Chinese food so much I thought that I would join in with the celebrations. I did cheat and buy ready meals from Sainsburys but as I don't eat gluten/wheat I do struggle to find ready meals that I can eat so I made a Prawn Pad Thai for myself which I had along with some crispy seaweed. Mr M had sweet & sour chicken with fried rice and for starters he had vegetable spring rolls, prawn toast and spare ribs. I set the table with my bamboo mats that I have never used, my Chinese bowls and serving dishes and my new lucky cat for decoration (the chopsticks in the pic are also for decoration as I struggle to use them :)! )

I decided that Friday was the day for making pancakes and I would try them with bacon and maple syrup for breakfast as I have never had them like that before. They were delicious and will definitely be having them again soon.

Hope you all have lovely week :)
